ABOUT MORCEA
The Mississippi Ohio River Confluence Economic Alliance (MORCEA) was formed by representatives from Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee creating a joint, economic development group to promote growth across the four-state region. MORCEA’s mission is to connect the communities of the Mississippi and Ohio River Confluence for the purposes of facilitating growth of the economy and marketing the region’s unique assets,the ultimate goal of the Mississippi & Ohio Confluence Economic Alliance is to enhance the quality of life for both current and future generations.
MORCEA was recently awarded a REDI grant – a national- level grant funded by the USDA and facilitated by UK and Purdue University that will provide the region with up to 18 months of strategic planning and program creation assistance at no charge to the region.
MORCEA is currently seeking partners in the region from a variety of entities to be a part of the strategic planning process.
Connecting the communities of the Mississippi and Ohio River confluence for the purposes of facilitating growth of the economy and marketing the region’s unique assets.
